3rd All Naperville Charity Chess Tournament

All proceeds will be donated to the Naperville Education Foundation and the Indian Prairie Educational Foundation. Help us continue the tradition of playing chess for a good cause in our community.  In 2025 we had 120 players, so grab a classmate or friend and let's get to 150 players this year!

​

Description: An unrated scholastic chess tournament by grade level for Naperville chess players and their schools (there are sections for non-Naperville players too!).  This is a great event for players of all ability levels.

​

Sections: K-1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6-8, Open K-3, Open 4-5, Open 6-8

Note - Open sections are for non-Naperville 203 & 204 players

​

Team Sections: 

K-1 (Lower Primary), 2-3 (Upper Primary), 4-5 (Elementary), 6-8 (Junior High)  

No team trophies for schools outside of Naperville, CUSD203, & IPSD204

​

Prizes: 

Participation ribbons for all players.

5 Individual Trophies For Open Sections

3 Team Trophies For Each Team Section - Top 4 players count towards team score.  Must have 2 players to qualify as a team.  No club teams.

 

Where: Madison Junior High School - 1000 River Oak Drive, Naperville, IL 60565

 

Rounds: Doors open at 8:15am.  Round 1 begins at 9:00am.  All other rounds as soon as possible.  All players will play 5 rounds.  Time control is Game 30 with 5 second delay.

 

Registration: Entry fee is $25 if registration takes place online by 2/15.  Entry fee is $30 after 2/15.  Entries after 2/19 may receive 1/2 point bye in round 1.  No onsite entry.
