All Naperville Charity Chess Tournament

Our tournament last year raised over $1,000

to help build a school in Guatemala.

Description: Join us for a day of chess fun, representing your school, and changing the world.  Elite Chess is excited to host a charity chess tournament where all proceeds are donated to a good cause.  The event will consist of a chess tournament by grade level, a group lesson during lunch, and a raffle.  The money raised will be used to help build a school in Guatemala through Pencils of Promise.

Naperville North High School

5 Sections By Grade (all sections are unrated):  

K-1, 2-3, 4, 5, 6-8

​

Rounds: 

Grades K-5 will play 5 rounds; G/30;d5 (Round 1 - 9:00am, rest ASAP) 
Grades 6-8 will play 4 rounds; G/45;d5 (Round 1 - 9:00am, rest ASAP)

​

The event will end at approximately 3:00pm

​

Prizes: 

Participation Ribbons For All Players

5 Individual Trophies Per Section

2 Team Trophies Per Section

Additional Info:    
Entry fee is $20 until 3/5, $25 after 3/5. 
Top 3 players count towards team score (must have 2 players to qualify as a team) 
15 team rooms are available for purchase ($75)  - Contact Jeff if interested
Onsite concessions will be available 
No byes last round. Byes for any single round must be requested before the end of the first round. Only one bye allowed for tournament. 

All proceeds will be donated to the charity Pencils of Promise.
