Elmwood Beginner Chess Program

​

The Elmwood Beginner Chess Program is designed to welcome students who have never played before into the game of chess. The program is open to anyone in grades 2-5 who does not yet know all of the rules of chess. By the end of the program, students will be able to play an entire game by themselves and can then join our Spring Chess Program!

   Program Details:

• 3 after school chess classes from 2:30 - 4:00 pm

• Classes Dates: 12/4 (Thursday), 12/8 (Monday), and 12/18 (Thursday)

• Class will meet in Room 20

• Program fee: $65 - (includes a mini-chess set for all students)

• Capacity capped at 20 students
