Join Elite Chess in its effort to bring high quality chess tournaments to the west suburbs! We hope to have 150 players attend, will you be one of them?

Description: Chess tournament with 6 rated sections (U600, U900, U1200, U1500, U1800, and Championship) and 2 scholastic sections (Elementary and Junior High).  All sections are 4R/SS G45 +5 second delay.  A Bughouse Challenge will take place during lunch. USCF membership required for rated sections.

 

Prizes: Based on 75 rated entries. Trophies will be awarded to the top 5 finishers in the U600, U900, and scholastic sections.  U1200, U1500, & U1800 Sections: $100-75-50; Championship Section: $150-100-50.  Bughouse Challenge winners will receive unique trophies.

 

Where: Goodwin Hall - Room 411 at Benedictine University:  5700 College Rd, Lisle, IL 60532.

 

Rounds: Check in is from 8:30 - 9:15 am. Round 1 at 9:30 am, rest ASAP. Rated sections will end at approximately 5:30 pm and unrated, grade level sections will end at approximately 2:30 pm.

 

Registration: Fee is $30 for the unrated scholastic sections and $35 for all rated sections if registered by 8/3. Fee is increased by $5 if registration takes place after 8/3 and it is increased by $10 if registration takes place at the door. Onsight registration closes at 9:00 am. 2000+ rated players play for free. Bughouse Challenge is free for all participants.
