Join Elite Chess as we bring high quality chess tournaments to the west suburbs! Last year the Elite Chess Open hit its 160 player capacity, so sign up soon to make sure you get a spot!

Description: Chess tournament with 6 rated sections (U600, U900, U1200, U1500, U1800, and Championship).  All sections are 4R/SS G45 +5 second delay.  A Bughouse Challenge will take place during lunch. USCF membership required for rated sections.

 

Prizes:  Championship Section Prize: $275-125-75. U1200, U1500, & U1800 Section Prizes: $225-100-50; Trophies will be awarded to the top 10 finishers in the U600, U900 sections.  Bughouse Challenge winners will receive unique trophies.

 

Where: Goodwin Hall - Room 411 at Benedictine University:  5700 College Rd, Lisle, IL 60532.

 

Rounds: 9:30am, 12:00pm, 2:00pm, 4:00pm.  NOTE - U600 & U900 rounds paired ASAP. 

 

Registration: Fee is $40 ($35 for U600 & U900) if registered by 7/27. Fee is increased by $5 if registration takes place after 7/27. No On-site registration.

 

2000+ rated players play for free.  Bughouse Challenge is free for all participants.  Tournament capacity is 160 players.  Unrated players may only play in the U600, U900, or U1200 sections.
