Elite Chess Open

Join Elite Chess as we bring high quality chess tournaments to the west suburbs! Last year we had 160 players attend the Elite Chess Open, will you help us break that record?

Description: Chess tournament with 6 rated sections (U600, U900, U1200, U1500, U1800, and Championship).  All sections are 4R/SS G45 +5 second delay.  A Bughouse Challenge will take place during lunch. USCF membership required for rated sections.

 

Prizes:  Championship Section Prize: $275-125-75. U1200, U1500, & U1800 Section Prizes: $225-100-50; Trophies will be awarded to the top 10 finishers in the U600, U900 sections.  All players will receive a ribbon and Bughouse Challenge winners will receive unique trophies.

 

Where: Goodwin Hall - Room 411 at Benedictine University:  5700 College Rd, Lisle, IL 60532.

 

Rounds: 9:30am, 12:00pm, 2:00pm, 4:00pm.  NOTE - U600 & U900 rounds paired ASAP. 

 

Registration: Fee is $40 ($35 for U600 & U900) if registered by 7/27. Fee is increased by $5 if registration takes place after 7/27. No On-site registration.

 

2000+ rated players play for free.  Bughouse Challenge is free for all participants.  Tournament capacity is 160 players.
