2024 Summer Camps
Summer is the perfect time for your child to discover a new passion, re-engage with an old hobby, or pursue excellence in an activity they already love. Our 1 week summer camps provide a unique opportunity for kids to put down the video games and start reaching their potential.
In 2024 we will be offering full-day STEM Camps, half-day combo camps, in-person chess camps, and an Elite Camp for the Midwest's top players!

Elite Chess 2024 Summer Camps

During this one of a kind camp, kids will learn, explore, and be inspired by STEM and chess topics all day long! Each day will consist of at least 1.5 hours of chess, 1.5 hours of engineering, and 1.5 hours of science/math experimentation, and 1 hour of coding provided by iCode Glen Ellyn. Camp is taught by certified classroom teachers and our Elite Chess coaching staff. Students will be grouped by grade (Incoming 1st-3rd graders and Incoming 4th-6th graders).
This year's special project will be the creation of a living terrarium!
Sign up soon as capacity for this camp is only 14 students per grade level group. Students must be incoming 1st-6th graders to attend.

Our half-day combo camps are an amazing way for kids to get high-level training in chess and another fantastic activity! We've partnered with local experts in various fields to provide unique opportunities that we know your kids will enjoy. Each day will consist of 1.5 hours of chess and 1.5 hours of the combo activity. These camps are geared for beginners to advanced students who are entering 1st - 8th grade (please email for grade exceptions).
Students can stay at the center all day if they are doing a morning and afternoon combo camp.
Chess and Lego Robotics Camp - $257
This STEM based camp will be a combination of chess and Lego Robotics. Students will focus on design, creation, and programming of Lego Robots. Chess will be taught by our Elite Chess staff and Lego Robotics will be taught by the instructors at Chasewood Learning.

Chess and Archery Camp - $257
Back by popular demand! Students will spend half of their time learning the fundamental aspects of archery and shooting a bow. The other half will be learning chess from our Elite Chess Staff.

Chess and Chasers - $257
This incredible camp will be a combination of chess, laser tag, kick ball, nuclear ball, battle bots, and arcades. Students will spend half of their time learning chess and the other half doing all of the fun and physically engaging activities that Chasers Laser Tag has to offer!

Chess and Soccer Camp - $257
This one of a kind camp will be a combination of chess and soccer. Students will focus on fundamentals of dribbling, passing, and shooting. Chess will be taught by our Elite Chess Staff and soccer will be taught by the Head Soccer Coach at Naperville North High School, Jim Konrad.

Chess and Table Tennis Camp - $257
This camp was a hit last year, so we are bringing back! Half of the camp will be spent learning the different table tennis shot types and the fundamentals of offense and defense. The other half will be spent learning chess from our Elite Chess Staff. Table tennis will be taught by renowned coach, and one of the highest rated table tennis players in Illinois, Maria Kretschmer.

Chess and Art Camp - $257
This unique camp will be a combination of chess and drawing as an art form. Students will learn shading. Chess will be taught by our Elite Chess staff and Art will be taught by certified art teacher, Andrew Jensen.

Chess and Pokemon/Board Games - $257
We are so excited to add this amazing camp to our rotation! Half of the camp will be spent learning strategy and playing the Pokemon Card Game and other strategic board games run by the staff at Treasures of Naperville. The other half will be spent learning chess from our Elite Chess Staff.

Chess and Fishing - $257
This camp is new this summer and we can't wait to spread our love of the outdoors along with chess! Students will spend half of their time learning chess and the other half learning to fish. Students will have a chance to fish at a local pond each day.

Let's take your kids chess skills to the next level! All camps focus on specific chess strategies that will lead to better understanding of the intricacies of the game and therefore more success. The culmination of each camp is an exciting chess tournament where prizes will be awarded the top 3 finishers. Camps are geared towards students entering 1st-12th grade (please email for grade exceptions).
Students will be divided into groups based on ability level and will received curriculum that challenges them at their level.

Camp 6: Reassess Your Chess - $167
Topic: Fixing your weaknesses and creating a personalized training program

Let's learn the game of chess! This camp is geared towards complete beginners or kids who are just started learning the moves. We will cover all of the rules and basic strategy for each phase of the game. All kids will be able to play chess on their own by the end of the week. This camp is intended for students entering 1st-5th grade (email for grade level exceptions).

This camp is designed to push the skills of the Midwest's top junior chess players to reach new heights. Students will be given over 20 hours of instruction from some of the best coaches in the world and surrounded by other premier players from the region.
